GTA Training: Crafting a Teaching Philosophy Statement
Tuesday, Aug. 26
5–6 p.m.
1311 University Hall
A teaching philosophy statement is a narrative in which you share your thoughts about teaching and learning. As teachers, we often don’t have time to think about what’s deeply important to us, or to consider and reconsider our values, beliefs and practices. In this session, GTAs will learn how to craft an effective teaching philosophy statement, a valuable starting point for guiding your approach to teaching and a key component for anyone considering a career as an educator.
