Designing Research Projects That Set Students Up for Success

Set your students up for success with projects that scaffold their skills and help them engage in the research process. This workshop will discuss common challenges librarians see when working with students conducting research, ways to address these challenges with assignment structures and how UA Libraries can support you and your students. We’ll also discuss generative AI and the new challenges these tools introduce to research pedagogy. Bring assignments you’re developing or revising — we’ll share strategies that have worked for you and brainstorm ways to help your students overcome obstacles.
